Looks like a damn good start Aaron.
Something I'm planning on too.
Not much spare time to get away from light pollution at the moment though.

Went to a talk a while back by a guy who does some astro work.
Here are a few tips from him that you might like to try...
*  lowest f-setting
*  ISO  5000 - 6400
*  10 - 17 secs
*  try the "tungsten" setting in your white balance for a different effect (can't remember if it made it whiter or bluer ?!)

Keep experimenting.  Higher ISO with lower time reduces the star trail effect and makes for clearer shots.
Hope to be able to add some of my own shots at some stage too.

Yeah im trying to figure out the solution to reduce the noise in the shots, I might try 15sec exposures, done mostly 20-30 sec exposures so far, and yeah ive got it on the tungsten setting, having a crack at timelapses too, who knew this photography thing could be kinda addictive

Great shots Aaron. I guess the noise comes with the high ISO.
